During last month we asked Afonso Arraiano, a newly graduated designer and a friend of us, if he could help us creating a new logotype for Samarra Hills. We came up with the concept and Afonso began to work ingeniously on this project. The basic idea was to create a new visual identity to this blog based on 3 concepts: The three colours of Samarra Hills, the Cartesian coordinates and polygonal forms. By inserting this X, Y and Z axis into a hexagon and adding the intended tones of colour to it, he designed the following shape, which utterly suited us =):
